Photography of Children Policy.
I became a photographer by following my kids around and capturing them in all of their innocent beauty. I was always in awe of the things they found interesting, and those initial photos, way back in 2018, became the very beginning of my professional portfolio. In the years since, I have captured many beautiful moments of families and children laughing with siblings and parents, enjoying shoulder rides with grandparents, and so much more. Playfully capturing children laughing and having fun for families to cherish will always be one of my favourite parts of being a photographer — I’m literally a 40-year-old kid.
Today, in 2026, I am deeply concerned about AI photo manipulation. I have heard of cases online where photos of children have been manipulated into something far more sinister. I would love to go on a rant here about what should happen to such sickening people, but I will refrain. Instead, I am changing the way I present my business moving forward. I feel it is in the best interests of child safety that no images of children appear on my social media accounts or website. I would love this to be a movement that catches on to other photographers, schools, sports clubs and any other business that works with children.
What my clients decide to do with their images once galleries are delivered is entirely up to them. However, I strongly encourage clients to consider printing their images and sharing them personally with friends and family. There is something incredibly special about bonding over a freshly printed stack of photos, and there will always be something meaningful about flicking through a photo album with the people we love.
"Jess was absolutely amazing, she fit us in straight away as our session as it was a newborn gift. The session was so relaxing and natural and we absolutely love the photos that captured our first photos as a family. We will treasure these images"
